In the beginning of 2002, Danish Special Forces were sent to Afghanistan in order to join American soldiers in the war against terrorism. This was a consequence of the Danish Government’s support to the international war against terrorism. A new and active line in the Danish foreign policy was then a fact. In his film, Guldbrandsen investigates the engagement of the Danish forces in Afghanistan. The main concern of the film is whether Danish soldiers captured Afghans in order to extradite them to the Americans, and, at the same time, did the Danish government know that the Americans were not necessarily observing the Geneva Convention? This is a political documentary with the director himself as the interactive narrator and investigating journalist. This film created a heated debate in the Danish political establishment and media in its focus on Denmark as a belligerent.
