‘Collaboration Horizontale’ is the French term describing a French woman who has had sexual relations with a soldier of an occupying force. In 1944, photographer Robert Capa captured an image of a women who had her head shaven and holding a baby. She was being taunted by crowds following her relationship with a German soldier to whom she bore the child. The documentary aims to tell the story of the women in the picture and to answer the question of what happened to the child born at a crossroads in history.
