'Until recently I thought I knew what God stands for, but right now I’m not so sure. Because if he had been there for me, he would have stopped me on the last set of stairs. Just as I was entering this man’s apartment, ready to kill him.'
Janusz is serving life imprisonment. Agnieszka was sentenced to 25 years in prison. Both were convicted for murder. They know each other only from letters they have been writing for the past eight years. Today Agnieszka goes out on a pass, and will see him for the first time.

Piotr Sułkowski graduated ethnology and anthropology of culture at the University of Warsaw. Studies directing at the National Higher School of Film, Television and Theatre in Łódź.
