'The Bully Project' is a troubling and powerful investigation into an insidious social epidemic.

Bullying is now the most common form of violence young people experience. Filmmaker Lee Hirsch spends a year at the centre of the bullying crisis in high schools across America, documenting what life is like for kids on the receiving end of this widespread abuse. Cameras expose shocking scenes of physical and emotional violence, and the equally offensive reactions of school administrators, whose ‘kids will be kids’ platitudes leave tortured victims and their families powerless. Between ineffectual policies and overwhelmed parents, hope comes from the children themselves. Like Tyler, Kelby, Alex and Jameya - innocent kids whose only crime is being different - remind us, ‘It only takes one person to stand up.'The Bully Project' is a troubling and powerful investigation into an insidious social epidemic.
