Daniel is a young man, a student and a writer. Daniel is also a paedophile. He is in love and keeps no secret about his sexual orientation; not even from the parents of his beloved boy. Daniel has never hurt any child. Neither have Jirka Fx100d, Tomáš Efix, Petr Kasz, MR_Xguard, Host, Simigran, Silesia, Elrond or others from the community of Czech pedophiles. What is the way of the most intimate of feelings in Daniel's and his friends' heart? The film introduces the rises and falls of people living with pedophilia. It narrates a story of a forbidden love and constant struggle to come to terms with oneself and the society.

Veronika Lišková

Veronika Lišková graduated from the Philosophical Faculty of Charles University and the Film and TV Faculty of Academy of Performing Arts/FAMU in Prague. Since 2009 she has been working for Czech TV as a director and screenwriter of documentaries while focusing on her independent film projects. Her filmography includes a portrait of two Czech leading dance companies Touches of Dance (2010), experimental film Meantimes (2010); a short documentary about marriages between believers and non-believers Until God Do Us Part (2011); and a humorous observational documentary A Slightly Better World (2012). Daniel’s World is her feature-length debut.
