Documentary that immerses us in the intimate and complex relationship between Cyril, age 5, and his sister Marie, age 8.

Brother and Sister immerses us in the intimate and complex relationship between Cyril, age 5, and his sister Marie, age 8. There is something fascinating in the dynamics of this sibling love relationship, built on solidarity and rivalry. Built on how Marie handles her kid brother with a blend of great authority and loving-kindness. Built on the jealousy-tinted admiration Cyril has for his sister. Shot at the kids’ level, during a year and a half, the film takes us into their imagination and their shared passion for music. The film shows us what adults rarely take time to see. Thanks to the kids, we find our way back to that age of curiosity, and open up to universal questions: how hard yet joyful it is to be two, how difficult it is to learn, and, of course, what an adventure it is to grow.
