Nikola Babić is one of the most prominent Croatian documentarians of the 1970s. In this short documentary about a school of music based on finding rhythmical qualities in every child, Babić focuses on the visual and audio rhythm of children’s motions, creating a true music and sound dance. Winning a Silver Medal and the Kekec Award at the festival in Belgrade and a Silver Medal in Venice, Mur-bur marks the beginning of the director’s cycle of documentary films studying and shedding light on human nature as manifested in play.
