A documentary project in development, 'In Search of a Lost Country', written and directed by Marija Ratković Vidaković and produced by the Croatian Film Association, was presented last year at ZagrebDox’s Pitching Forum, where it won two awards, including the ZagrebDox Pro Award for Best Project which comprised a one-year mentorship programme with Rada Šešić.

At this year’s ZagrebDox Pro, Rada Šešić and Marija Ratković Vidaković will speak about the work on project development and mentoring collaboration. They will show the new filmed materials and reflect on the project success in the past year. In Search of a Lost Country is a feature-length documentary film in which the director, accompanied by her family, goes on a trip through all the seven countries made after the collapse of former Yugoslavia, to tell a story about a country’s breakdown from a personal, family point of view, and examine the importance and sustainability of the ideals about a state as a place of social justice and values, instilled in her by her grandfather when she was a girl. The film’s producer is Vera Robić-Škarica, with Barbara Jukopila as the executive producer.
