Maryam Tafakory

Maryam Tafakory was born in 1987 in Shiraz, Iran. She lives and works as an animator and filmmaker in London. Themes such as poetry, politics, religion and existential explorations provide inspiration for her work. Tafakory's short films and installations have been screened and exhibited at dozens of European film festivals. She has received several awards for her films including the award for Best Short Film at DocumentaMadrid.
