They face the Italian political environment unfriendly to women and witness a change they never could have imagined.

Supported only by their deep friendship and political passion, Manuela, a member of the Parliament, and Daniela, active on the local level, face the Italian political environment unfriendly to women and witness a change they never could have imagined: the death of politics and the rise of populism. Manuela and Daniela started their political journey as “ordinary people”, surrounded by supporters and trust, but have ended up being considered a part of the “privileged caste of politicians”. Torn between a sense of duty and a desire to quit politics, Manuela and Daniela go through the main events of their political adventure, trying to make sense of it, wondering about the future of Europe and depicting a country whose democratic system is getting weaker by the day.
