Traditionally, and especially during Putin’s rule, a few minutes before the New Year, the President of Russia delivers New Year's greetings on the main TV channels, which is filmed against the backdrop of the Kremlin. For the first time in history, at the end of 2022 a record-long speech of Vladimir Putin was filmed against the backdrop of the military personnel. In this short documentary by Vladimir Loginov, we focus on a young boy standing behind Putin, whose proposed inner soundtrack may surprise us.

Vladimir Loginov

Documentary filmmaker Vladimir Loginov graduated from International School of Social Sciences LEX in 1998 and advanced his studies on TV-production, news and advertising. His first documentary Silence premiered in 2006 and his latest Hippodrome in 2022. His films were presented in Visions du Réel festival in Nyon, Switzerland, PÖFF, Jihlava IFF, Docpoint Helsinki, GoEast Germany, DOK.fest München, Zerkalo, ArtDocFest, Green Film in Korea etc. His filmography also includes Prazdnik (2020), Anthill (2015), Remembering Tomorrow (2011), Identity (2009) and Wedding for dummies (2008)
