An entertaining and educational satirical documentary series Fish on You takes a candid look at the unique traditions of weddings in Sfax, Tunisia. The author knew the only way she could survive her 7-day Tunisian wedding with outdated traditions, a big, opinionated family, a bag of doubts, and a lot of dancing is if she could make a satirical documentary about it. This will be the first ever documentary series about Tunisian weddings, that represents the unique collision between colonial and patriarchal structure of Tunisian weddings, and the warmth of family, love, community, and celebration.
Amal Seela is a storyteller with a passion for film and comedy. She has a proven track record as a film producer, scriptwriter, standup comedian, and entrepreneur. After studying film and management at Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA, Amal quickly went from acting in student films in LA, to producing edutainment films internationally. In 2017, Amal founded Lights, Camera, Learn!, a non-profit organization that has since empowered and educated youth through the art of filmmaking. She has produced 170+ short edutainment films, trained 240+ filmmakers, and worked with 800+ kids in 9 countries. Her work has been widely recognized and praised for its unique services, as an accredited international internship program, as well as its positive impact on underserved children.
