Shadya Zouabi, a girl of mixed Arab and Israeli blood who lives in the Moslem town of Tamra in Galilee, started training karate when she was only 8. Today, her room is full of trophies; she is a world champion and a member of the Israeli national karate team. Her father has always supported her, which cannot be said for the rest of the family. After she, as a member of the national team, wrapped herself up with the Palestinian flag at the World Championship in South Africa, the problems have multiplied. The question now is whether Shadya can deal with her brothers who condemn her and with the fiancé she has been promised to, who also does not understand her.
