In 1985, Mark Craig bought an answer machine. He then kept every message it recorded… for 20 years! ‘Talk to Me’ is a personal journey through life conveyed entirely by real answer machine messages recorded over two decades. Visuals comprise a large collage of photos filmed in one continuous take, with music.

After graduating from De Montfort University in Leicester with an honors degree in Graphic Design, Mark Craig worked in BBC News & Current Affairs, before spending several years at Channel 4. There he designed programme title sequences & channel idents, and directed the odd promo trailer. He went freelance in 1995, doing a mix of broadcast and non-broadcast directing work that included travel programmes, promos, short films, corporate videos, biographical & historical documentaries; including ‘Jackie Stewart - The Flying Scot’ (C4) which was RTS nominated for Best Sports Documentary in 2002. He is currently in development with a feature documentary.
