At the beginning Dylan Avery had an idea to make a fictional story about the possible 9/11 conspiracy (immediate exposure of the alleged terrorists, committee’s report that uncovers more than it hides…). But after the investigation he came to conclusion that there really is a conspiracy behind it all, so he decided to make a real documentary. Like in any propaganda, this film doesn’t quote opposed arguments, only ones that confirm the conspiracy no matter of the source’s credibility. Since the whole theory is faulty and full of holes - so even the biggest American critic Noam Chomsky doesn’t believe in it - some even suspect that Avery didn’t give up the idea of making a fictional story, but is only using credulity of the conspiracy theoreticians to discredit them with over the top claims. Ironically, paranoia critics are becoming paranoid - and like some of them suspected that Chomsky is a CIA agent - some are now talking about Donald Rumsfeld and his team being behind this film, which would than make it a ‘mockumentary’.
Dylan Avery is a 23 year old originally from New York State. While researching a piece he was writing he stumbled upon the deceptions and cover-ups surrounding the events of September 11th and ‘Loose Change Second Edition’ is the result. His passion for film and his ability to blend sound, music and digital imagery seamlessly into an eighty-minute tour-de-force has had an undeniable effect on millions of viewers and has spawned a nascent activist movement around the globe.
