ZagrebDox's popular section Controversial Dox again this year includes films about controversial phenomena, personalities or events. Next to award-winning films from around the world, the premiere of the local documentary 'Consumed' by Borut Šeparović is scheduled.

The films ‘The Armstrong Lie’, directed by Alex Gibney, ‘Blackfish’ by Gabriela Cowperthwaite and 'The Act of Killing' by Joshua Oppenheimer shown in the official festival programme, run for the prestigious British award.

‘Velvet Terrorists’, a documentary about smaller and unsuccessful terrorist plots in former Czechoslovakia arrives in Zagreb from the 64th Berlinale’s Forum section. The 10th ZagrebDox will also show Erwin Wagenhofer’s new documentary ‘Alphabet’, nominated for LOLA.

Eleven documentary films from Teen Dox programme tackle different issues: family relations, impact of the internet and new media on their growing up, falling in love, innocence and first sexual experiences.

Masters of Dox this year are led by female filmmakers: Kim Longinotto, Helena Trestikova and Lucy Walker, joined by Wang Bing, the leading personality in Chinese documentary film in the last decade, as well as well-known authors Alex Gibney and Nick Broomfield.

The 10th ZagrebDox international competition offers an outstanding film experiment made by the acclaimed Polish documentarians Marcel and Pawel Lozinski.
