Case Study & Presentation: Camera in Documentary Film - Powered by Sony

Time and place
24.02. / Tuesday, 17:30 - 19:00 Theatre Zagreb Film
As continuation of the successful collaboration, this year SONY in partnership with AVC and ZagrebDox again hosts a presentation of the latest equipment, as well as fascinating results achieved by Sony technology in real conditions, to all the visitors and film professionals in particular.

As one of the pioneers in large-scale image sensors, Sony will present its latest 4K camcorder, SONY PXW-FS7. With the possibility of using different types of photo and film lenses, this camcorder is also an ideal choice for making documentary and promotional films. Sony camcorders will be presented by Dragan Lazić (Senior Key Account Manager, SONY PSE, Basingstoke). Responding to the growing concern in the audiovisual industry over the issues with trustworthy A/V archiving, both on location and in the studio, Sony is presenting the portable device SONY ODS-D77U. This device is based on Professional Disk technology and has a USB interface, among other things. Sony optical archiving systems will be presented by Colin Thompson (Archive Solutions Product Specialist, SONY PSE, Basingstoke). What we hope might particularly interest the participants of this event is the introductory presentation by Mr. Vjeran Hrpka, a cinematography graduate, showing rough footage from the documentary project A Two Way Mirror, made by a Sony camcorder. Vjeran Hrpka was the director of photography on a series of fiction and documentary films, and works as a docent at the Osijek Academy of Art.
