During his extensive and varied career David Charap has worked across docu- mentary and fiction genres and became equally well known for his work on feature films ('Last Resort', 'My Summer of Love', 'The Deep Blue Sea', 'Buttoners'), TV dramas and documentaries.

Charap has edited numerous critically-acclaimed and award-winning documentaries. His many credits include Marc Isaacs’ The Road: A Story of Life and Death, All White in Barking, In the Land of the Free by Vadim Jean, The Possibilities Are Endless by Edward Lovelace and James Hall, Voices of the Children by Zuzana Justman and many others. He was also a sought-after consultant on this year’s Oscar-nominated Virunga. In this masterclass, David Charap will discuss his style and practice with the audience and give his views on making films and insight to his unique approach to documentary editing.
