Luc Jacquet has uncovered a fascinating new way of exploring climate change. His film focuses on Claude Lorius, an eighty-two year old French glaciologist who first visited Antarctica over fifty years ago. He is a scientist of great renown and expertise, whose most important study has been of the palaeoatmosphere within ice cores. This work reveals the secrets of the past through analysis of different levels of ice – it’s like geology with frozen water.
