Visitors to Zagreb include the famous Austrian director Nikolaus Geyrhalter and the acclaimed Polish documentarian Pawel Lozinski, who will also take part in two of this year's ZagrebDoXXL platform events. On Friday, 3 March, Pawel Lozinski is participating at an expanded Q&A session after the screening of You Have No Idea How Much I Love You, opposite the renowned Zagreb-based psychotherapist Doctor Ljiljana Bastaić. The same day, after the screening of Homo Sapiens, Nikolaus Geyrhalter will take part in a moderated Q&A session about the films in his retrospective.
Coming to Zagreb to present their films in person are many International Competition filmmakers, including the Polish director Julia Staniszewska (Three Conversations of Life), Belgian director Pieter-Jan de Pue (The Land of the Enlightened), Chinese author Qiong Zheng (A Way Out), Danish director Andreas Dalsgaard (The War Show), as well as Regional Competition authors: Serbian filmmaker Mihajlo Jevtić (Four Passports) and Romanian director Monica Lazurean-Gorgan (A Mere Breath). German director Christian Krönes is presenting his film A German Life in the Biography Dox section, and a story about a strange trip around the world of the Corsican Solenzarasong will be told personally by French directors Stephan and Pascal Regoli. The famous Danish director Jon Bang Carlsen is also coming to Zagreb and presenting his film Déjà vu, in the Masters of Dox section.
Iranian director Mehrdad Oskouei is having a masterclass at ZagrebDox Pro about the challenges he encountered while making his latest documentary film Starless Dreams, screen in Teen Dox, about the daily lives and destinies of girls in an Iranian correctional facility. ZagrebDox is also hosting the distinguished jury members, led by the international jury chair Snježana Tribuson and the regional jury chair, director of the European Film Academy, Marion Döring.
