A personal view on the life story of photographer Simon Varsano who became a victim of political regime.

He is a medical photographer, professional water polo player, romantic, and a ladies’ man. Overnight, he becomes a prisoner with his legs shot through, an enemy of the regime, and a victim of political police. This nightmare remained in the 1980’s, in a time before the fall of the Berlin Wall. But not, for Simon Varsano, everything will come rushing back, along with a video from the Communist State Security archives. A meeting with the past and another battle: Simon versus Fear.
