Gliding in the Universe

It's an existentialist journey of self-discovery through filming and counter filming loved ones. A dispute on others making images of ourselves, questioning what we film and when we film the other. The film is about the director's father who filmed her from childhood, and now it's the director's turn to look at him and film him.

Ilona Szekeres, director

Ilona Szekeres is from Hungary and is currently a student at DocNomads Master Degree in Documentary Filmmaking across three countries: Portugal, Hungary and Belgium. She obtained her BA in film from NYU Abu Dhabi. She attended NYU Tisch’s Documentary Program in Cuba for a semester and in New York for another semester.
