Emil i Saša were insuperable during their childhood in the city of Pala in Bosnia Herzegovina. They did everything together, went through puberty, first coffees and nights out in Sarajevo. They called themselves Yugoslavs. Until the war. Saša, whose father is Serb is forced to go to war, and Emil whose father is a Muslim is forced to run. They never saw each other again. Emil tells Saša in his video letter that he never called him because he ‘...heard he had done a terrible thing during the war...’
