Pointed shoes are intended for gentle girls, but they are made by strong men whose hands tell a different tale.
Perfectionist ballet shoemakers are ready to wither in order to make a single pair of pointes. All this to take the edge off dancers’ feet. The film won the award for best short film at SXSW 2012 and was nominated for Academy Award in the best short film category.
