In 2003, two babies were found in a cardboard box in a Chinese village and adopted into two different corners of the world. One of them to a little village in Norway, surrounded by high mountains and deep fjords. The other one to a big city in the USA. The adoptive parents had no idea that there was a twin sister. Their sisterhood was meant to be kept a secret. However, destiny had other plans... The film tells the remarkable story of the twin sisters through a parallel journey, until they meet again when they 8 years old in Norway. This is a powerful human story about sibling love, human dilemma and the game of fate.

Mona Friis Bertheussen

Mona Friis Bertheussen, born in 1975, was educated at the Oslo University College and in Washington D.C. She previously worked as a reporter for Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK) and commercial television network TV2, before starting her own production company, Moment Film, co-founded with Kaare Skard in 2003. Her first film was the documentary Tampa, broadcast on NRK in 2002. Her 2008 documentary Welcome to Norway was awarded The Norwegian Governments Human Rights Award. Her films have been broadcast in several countries, such as Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Sweden, UK and Australia.
