'Master of the Universe' Wins European Oscar!

Marc Bauder’s film screened at the 10th ZagrebDox has won the prestigious European Film Academy award for best documentary film.

At the 27th European Film Award ceremony, taking place on 13 December in Riga, Latvia, the German-Austrian film Master of the Universe by Marc Bauder has won the European Film Academy award for best documentary film. The film was screened in the State of Affairs section of the 10th ZagrebDox, in the presence of the protagonist, the fascinating and controversial investment banker Rainer Voss.

This year six films were nominated for the European Film Academy award in the documentary category, three of which were screened at the last year’s ZagrebDox. In addition to Master of the Universe, these are the Italian-French film Sacro Gra by Gianfranco Rosi and the Danish film Just the Right Amount of Violence by Jon Bang Carlsen.
