As an ethnographic depiction of everyday village life, the film portrays a single day's work in the field, the rituals at the table, the leisure and the social relations within a family of farmers in the period before socialist modernisation. This silent film is accompanied by the original text written by the director Drago Chloupek in the kajkavian vernacular of the Turopolje region. The film was made as part of the photo-film laboratory of the School of Public Health Andrija Štampar.
