Lenny is spending the nights with her new girlfriend Pia, Sophia’s job as an escort fuels her family’s disdain, Nic and Stella live in an open relationship, while Sören, aged 40, is still acquiring conquests. Generation Y is creative, self-centred and hedonistic. But, independence and individuality come with loneliness and disillusionment as well. In easy love, seven men and women between the ages of 25 and 45 search for happiness. Their thirst for adventure occasionally leads them astray, sometimes to the therapist, and sometimes to the love of their life. In the urban environment of Cologne, director illustrates the love lives of a German generation with unrestrained openness and rhythmic electro sounds. The success of this largely improvised feature film hinges on the collaboration of the protagonists, whose real personal situations served as the starting point for the film’s plot.
