This short essay documentary focuses on the issue of erecting a monument to the first Croatian president, Franjo Tuđman, in Zagreb. On the one hand it depicts the moment before the official unveiling ceremony, and on the other it establishes a broader critical and social context through archive footage from a few days before the unveiling, when the monument was still wrapped in a thick layer of plastic. We see protests and conflicts and the police guard keeping this sculpture safe from human presence.
