Joren Slaets

Joren Slaets is a Belgian filmmaker. He has written Flemish television and films for over eight years. His debut children's novel Underdogs hits shelves spring 2023. Together with Renate Raman he makes documentary and narrative films they are passionate about, such as the award winning documentary Yaren and the Sun, which won the ZagrebDox Teen Dox Award in 2022. They are currently working on their first original television show for the Flemish Broadcast Network VRT.

Biljana Tutorov

Biljana Tutorov is a writer, director and producer focused on women driven stories examining contemporary political reality, state of democracy and environmental issues. After graduating Art History in UCL (Belgium), Biljana studied Film Anthropology in EPHE and Drama at Ecole internationale de théâtre Jacques Lecoq in Paris. She is the founder of Wake Up Films, independent production company based in Novi Sad, Serbia, dedicated to upcoming talents from the region, as well as the founder and programme director of CIRCLE Women Doc Accelerator, international training initiative addressing women-identifying filmmakers. Biljana is a 2021 Chicken & Egg Pictures and Catapult grantee, alumna of EAVE and EURODOC, member of the DOKSerbia, European Women's Audiovisual Network (EWA), European Film Academy (EFA) and an advisory board member of Documentary Association of Europe (DAE).

Sigal Yehuda

Sigal Yehuda is the Founder and Executive Director of Close Up, an independent international NGO based in Brussels Belgium that provides training and mentorship to emerging documentary filmmakers and journalists coming from Southwest Asia & North Africa, artists from diverse ethnic, cultural and political backgrounds including Afghanistan, Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Egypt, Georgia, Kuwait, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey, Qatar, Yemen, and UAE. For the past 15 years Sigal established significant professional partnerships with key international and regional organizations, these strategic alliances with The Sundance Institute, Blue Ice Docs, Chicken & Egg Pictures, Catapult Film Fund, the Whickers, Docs Up Fund, European Film Market at the Berlinale, IDFA Bertha Foundation Middle East Now Film Festival, Silver Sun Foundation, ARTE France, MDR Germany, France TV, Tribeca Film Institute, The Jacob Burns Film Center in NY, MEDIMED Industry Market in Spain, are the path through which the filmmakers are able to achieve an international audience and financing for their projects. Sigal was involved in the development of highly acclaimed international award-winning documentaries such as Five Broken Cameras (2013 Oscar Nominee), Mr. Gay Syria (2017 MoMa, Sheffield), Midnight Traveler (Berlinale & Sundance Special Award 2019), Kabul City in the Wind (2018 IDFA Opening Film & Best First Feature Length Documentary, CPH Award), to name a few. Sigal serves as a Selection committee member, pitching forum trainer & Jury member in various cinema foundations and Film festivals such as Sundance Documentary Fund, Tribeca Film Institute, Middle East Now Film Festival Florence Italy, Antalya Film Festival in Turkey, Movies That Matter Film Festival in the Netherlands, FIPADOC Film Festival Biarritz, France. In January 2021 Sigal joined The Why Foundation in Denmark as an Editorial Board Member. Sigal is a member of the European Film Academy.
