One of the award-winning films of the 9th ZagrebDox, ''The Act of Killing'' by Joshua Oppenheimer, is available from 14th June in Zagreb’s EUROPA cinema.
Nebojsa Slijepcevic's humorous film tale about a love agent who helps a young Bulgarian woman with a child to find a husband in Croatia won the 9th ZagrebDox Audience Award. The sponsor of HT Award is Croatian Telecom.
Most visitors’ votes went to the Croatian documentary 'Gangster of Love' by Nebojša Slijepčević. Thrilling British documentary 'The Imposter' directed by Bart Layton took second place, while third place went to Lucy Walker's 'Tsunami and the Cherry Blossom'.

The 9th ZagrebDox was closed by the festival director Nenad Puhovski: "I greet you at the end of this one and the beginning of the tenth, birthday edition of ZagrebDox!" The main festival awards, Big Stamps, went to 'Kudzu Vine' and 'Tzvetanka'. All other information about award-winning films and filmmakers follow.
The winner of the Big Stamp Award in the International Competition is 'Kudzu Vine' by Josh Gibson, while the Big Stamp Award for best film in the Regional Competition goes to 'Tzvetanka' by Youlian Tabakov.
On Friday at 11pm, theatre 1, check out another screening of 'Mansome' by Morgan Spurlock. On Saturday at 11pm, theatres 1 and 3, the impressive environmental doc 'Chasing Ice' by Jeff Orlowski and 'Queen of Versailles' by Lauren Greenfield are scheduled.
Friday at ZagrebDox features two Croatian premieres: 'Awakening' by Serbian director Irena Fabri and 'Battery Man' by Dušan Šaponja. Two brilliant Croatian musical documentaries are also scheduled and due to large interest an additional screening of 'Mansome' is organised.
Today, Thursday, 28 February at the Festival Centre, 10pm, young jazz singer and songwriter Karsu Dönmez will perform at ZagrebDox. Admission is free!
