The rich International Competition program of the 11th ZagrebDox offers many surprises, among others, the Oscar and BAFTA nominee ‘Virunga’, a film about a ruthless fight for Congo’s natural resources, directed by Orlando von Einsiedel. 


Through the stories of several same-sex couples, the most recent film by the winner of the 3rdZagrebDox Alina Rudnitskaya, Victory Day, explores a new, homophobic chapter in the history of modern-day Russia.

The International Documentary Film Festival ZagrebDox this year begins its second decade. Along with a series of recognisable and well-attended programmes, the 11th edition of the Festival features a few novelties trying to bring the documentary form as close to the audience as possible.

Documentary film directors, producers, scriptwriters and cinematographers are invited to apply for ZAGREBDOX PRO 2015. Submission deadline is extended until 22 December!

Marc Bauder’s film screened at the 10th ZagrebDox has won the prestigious European Film Academy award for best documentary film.

The deadline for the submission of entries expires on Saturday, 15 November, at midnight.

Thomas Balmès’s film about the arrival of television into the life of a boy from Bhutan thrilled the Youth Jury of Sheffield Doc/Fest and won a special mention.

The deadline for submissions is October 15, 2014 for documentary films released after January 2014, and November 15, 2014 for documentary films in production.
