The Russians are coming

He misses his wife Klavdia. Again and again he tries to reach her over the phone, which has become his only connection with the outside world. The character's life is life of a recluse. He's got no heating, electricity or water supply. Nonetheless, he finds meaning and joy in his existence: he's waiting for his beloved. The film observes the character's life with immense attention to detail. The mosaic of images that captures pieces of his world creates a contemplation on the nature of human soul.
