A group of very vocal young women with diverse backgrounds dance, laugh, make love and dither their way through life in northeast Paris. An intimate and cliché-crushing portrait of true Parisiennes, living in a concrete jungle, that screams “liberté, égalité, sororité” from the rooftops. In this film full of knowing energy specific to her generation, the director films her best friends, captured as tender and wild Amazons who face their desires and their condition as women.

Louise Mootz

Louise Mootz studied filmmaking at ESRA in Paris, France. Louise and her protagonists all grew up in the same arrondissement and were 20 when filming started. Much like her young heroines, she is unfazed by any subject, so emotional outbursts, sexual encounters, and despair are all part of the picture. Louise Mootz has directed video clips for up and coming French bands such as Nyokô Bokbaë and shoot short films in France, Morocco, and Iran.
