“It is damn hard making a documentary about someone you are fond of and whom you consider a friend. That is why for years I put off making a film about Edo. It probably would have gone on like that, who knows whether I would have made it at all, if he had not called me from Vrsar one day and said: “I’m going to die before you make that film you promised me.”
