In the form of an epistolary film conversation, two young directors discuss film, the present and the past, family, heritage and motherhood, revealing what drew them to filmmaking and inspired the stories they registered in their films. However, the intimate and shrewd observations of the two women – detailed in the sophisticated footage of daily life and fragments of their personal narratives – echo with the broader political situation in their native countries, Chile and Spain.
