Journalist and Film Critic

Carolin Weidner was born in 1989 in Bad Saarow, Germany. She is a freelance journalist, specializing in film criticism. She studied film in Berlin and writes for newspapers and magazines such as Die Tageszeitung and Spiegel Online. She is a board member of German Film Critics’ association VdFk (Verband der deutschen FIlmkritik). Since 2017, she is also part of DOK Leipzig’s selection committee. She was a jury member at film festivals in Moscow, Busan, Basel, Oberhausen and Rotterdam.

Film Critic

Colette de Castro studied at Auckland University before moving to Paris in 2008 to continue her studies in drama and cinema at the Sorbonne. She is a writer for the East European Film Bulletin, an online magazine that brings together journalism and academia. She teaches Literature at Nanterre University Paris. She was a jury member at film festivals in Lecce, Istanbul, Torino and Palić, among others.

Marcella Jelić, born in 1974 in Split, is the editor-in-chief at Klasik TV. She is a longtime journalist, editor and film critic for a number of leading newspapers, magazines and internet portals (Slobodna Dalmacija, Jutarnji list, Tportal, Zarez, Total Film, Hrvatski filmski ljetopis, etc.). She is pursuing a PhD in Communication Sciences at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb.
