Audience Award Goes to "Love Around the World"

The best film of this year’s edition of ZagrebDox to the audience’s choice is the Croatian documentary by Anđela and Davor Rostuhar, whose world premiere was on Friday in regional competition.

Traveling to the farthest corners of the world, from deep Amazon forests and remote villages in the Himalayas, through small Pacific countries and African slums, all the way to the world’s largest metropolises, the creative duo Anđela and Davor Rostuhar documented as many as 33 different love and marriage stories. challenges and struggles, ups and downs. The stunning documentary Love Around the World connects the widest range of cultures and identities through the universal emotion of love. The Audience Award will be presented to the authors ahead of the screening on Sunday, June 20 at 8pm at the SC Cinema.

Right after the first-prize-winning film is the documentary Hold Me Right by Danijela Štajnfeld. It is interesting that among the ten best films according to the audience are five Croatian films: in addition to the film Love Around the World, there are the films Between Summers by Anja Koprivšek, Now I Am Irena by Jasmina Beširević, The Wire by Tiha K. Gudac and the Hungarian-Croatian film Tales From The Prison Cell by Hungarian director Ábel Viski.
